Big Stax 300 (Day 2): Zambanini Cleaning Up

Level 22 (Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000)
Total Entries: 1,651
Players Remaining: 51

Matthew Zambanini (Wilmington, DE)
He might not be the chip leader, but it's gotta feel like heaps in front of him after eliminating Thomas Coan.  The two got it in on the flop for a pot worth over 2,000,000:

Flop: J 6♣ 8♣

Coan: A♣ J♣
Zambanini: J J♠

Turn: 2♠
River: A♠

Thomas couldn't believe what had happened once the hands were exposed, as he flopped what seem like the world.  He would end up seeing that only his flush draw was live for him, and the runout would not be kind.  Matthew is now top ten in chips, only trailing a few players: Bill Miller (3,100,000), Mike Menzer (2,400,000), Chris Kostoulas (2,200,000), Matthew Zambanini (2,200,000), Jim Tesone (2,000,000).
