Big Stax 300 (Day 2): Csik Grinds Down, Then Triples

Level 23 (Blinds 12,000/24,000/4,000)
Total Entries: 1,651
Players Remaining: 40

Chris Csik (Hoboken, NJ)
Chris Csik (Hoboken, NJ) wasn't going to recapture his Big Stax magic with a stack less than ten bigs, but that's where he was at, shoving his last 162,000 on the cutoff when action folded to him.  The button would fold, and Matt Doyle called out of the small blind.  Kevin O'Brien was in the big blind, and he would re-shove, putting Doyle at a decision for his tournament life.  Matt would make the call and the three hands would be tabled, with Doyle and Csik at risk:

Csik: Q♣ Q
Doyle: 2 2♣
O'Brien: 8♣ 8

Runout: A9♣ 7 K 4

The board would runout clean for Csik's pocket queens, and he would more than triple up to 500,000.  Doyle was eliminated in the hand, while O'Brien would be left with 900,000 after collecting the side pot.
