Jack Duong |
On back-to-back hands on Table 51, Jack Duong chipped up through James Kaplan.
On the first hand, Duong was sitting under the gun and raised to 17,000, getting a call from Kaplan in the small blind and Jeff Gross in the big blind.
The three players saw a flop of J♠ 10♣ 2♦. Duong bet 25,000 after the blinds checked. Kaplan made the call and Gross folded.
Both players checked the 8♣ on the turn, bringing the 2♣ on the river.
Kaplan bet 35,000 from the small blind and Duong raised to 75,000. Kaplan made the call with 10♠ 8♠, but Duong had a better two pair with A♠ A♣.
On the following hand, Kaplan raised to 16,000 pre-flop from the button and Duong made the call from the big blind.
Duong checked the 4♠ 3♠ 2♦ flop, allowing Kaplan to bet 30,000 before raising to 75,000, which Kaplan called.
Duong threw out a huge bet after the 2♣ on the turn, causing Kaplan to fold.
All told, Duong took 208,000 from Kaplan in the two hands.
