The Day 1B field has eclipsed the century mark, and continues to grow as time passes. Jim Bucci (Hollywood, MD) found himself short, but his 10,000 stack was still over (30) big blinds at the moment. Jim found himself in a fortunate spot just moments ago, getting it in pre-flop with 10♠ 10♣ against his opponents 8♣ 9♣. The dealer would put an eight down on the flop, but that would be all the improvement his adversary could manage.
Bucci doubles to over 22,000, and while that may be just over half of the starting stack, it gives Jim a chance to build back his stack on this first bullet. The action has been fairly slow to start the day, with Alan Kraut (Doylestown, PA) still leading the way with just over 130,000.
