Big Stax 500 (Day 3): 25th Place - Mermelstein ($2,418)

Level 25 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entries: 775
Players Remaining: 24

We saw the shortest stack returning eliminated moments ago (Dippolito), with the third shortest stack falling suit in tough fashion.  Aaron Mermelstein (Philadelphia, PA) shoved his remaining 360,000 in pre-flop, getting called by Eric Rappaport:

Mermelstein: A J♠
Rappaport: A♣ 10

Flop: A♠ 9 4♣
Turn: K
River: 10♣

Eric would ask Aaron was his count was as the dealer began the runout, but after the three-outer on the river, he wouldn't be sending any chips Mermelstein's way.  Aaron took the tough beat in stride, wishing everyone else at the table good luck, and headed over to the tournament podium to get paid ($2,418).  Those remaining have just reached their first pay jump of the day, and are now guaranteed at least $2,753.
