Big Stax 500 (Day 1C): First Look At Chip Counts

Tournament supervisor David Rolo has just announced to the field that Level 6 has started, with blinds going up to 250/500/50.  The early chip leader in the field looks to be Peter Pietras (Parlin, NJ), who sits with over 135,000.  He mentioned that his stack was bigger in the second level, but he hasn't really won a pot since.

Up top as well is Jon Rublee (Rochester, NY), whose name may ring a bell, since he did final table this event during the Big Stax VII ($14,504).  Rublee is just behind Pietras with 134,000, looking capture some of the magic from August.  Some other counts that are over 100,000 belong to:
