The first player to eclipse the century mark (and the chip leader at the moment) is George Alberto (Clifton, NJ), who sits with 135,000. Alberto may have lost his trademark beard, but the scarf is very familiar to players that made Day 2 of the Big Stax V 500 event. Alberto was one of the early chip leaders once the field combined that Sunday in February, but eventually tailed off and finished in 45th place ($2,046).
There have been more late arrivals to the field since players returned from break, including Sophie Chen, who was the last lady standing in the Big Stax 300 (28th Place - $2,400). There have been two more tables opened in the outer tournament area, housing the likes of Anthony Garofalo, Michael Cannon, Steve Sutton, and Jose Montes.
