The tournament field continues to grow larger, with a prize pool that's about to cross the $400,000 mark. There are some new faces to the field, including Frederick Ferrell (Philadelphia, PA), who finished 3rd in the last Big Stax 300 in August. Three handed play between Ferrell, Scott Blackman, and Michael Jelaso took longer than anyone expected, with Frederick being knocked close to 7:00am. He did earn $33,516 for the finish, which was...and still is his largest score to date.
A face that we aren't seeing for the first time is Raj Desai (Randolph, NJ), who you may remember from Day 1A. Raj had over 270,000 in Level 14, but couldn't manage to get through the final hour of the night to bag chips. Desai joins Mike Azzaro, Sandeep Patel, and Ron Vitalle as late arrivals to the flight.
