Benny Coren

Down to his final 3,500 chips, Benny Coren spent part of the last color-up break lamenting to this blogger about how his flopped set of 6's turned into a disaster when his opponent spiked a set of Aces on the turn.

But in a span of 15 minutes, Coren has chipped all the way back up to 101,000 - not nearly the chip average, but plenty to bag the night with.

It took several hands for him to go from less than one big blind to more than 25 of them, and not all of them were captured. But one hand we did see was when Coren got it all-in pre-flop with Ax 9x against the Ax 10x of Jeffrey Chang. Coren stayed alive and doubled up when a Nine came on the river.

We'll see where his stack finishes up 20 minutes from now when the night ends.
